Central Alpha Legion

During the first meeting held for C.A.L, we have discussed and plan to have our own t-shirt. This is exclusively for C.A.L members who have registered their details. The plan to make the shirt has been voiced out not once, but a few times even before C.A.L or alphanatics were born but ideas are just ideas and it stops there. This time, we have made it possible. As the process of designing, looking for the supplier and shops to do the shirt, the outcome turned out great. It's good to have our own shirt, not to show off but to present the community to the world (hopes too high ya??).

Welcome to Central Alpha Legion. The blog dedicated to Sony Alpha and Konica Minolta Users.

The main purpose for the formation of Central Alpha Region is to group the number of Sony Alpha users in the Central Region and providing them with guidance and assisting them in the usage and the functions of DSLR. Other than that, the group will also involve in planning such activities to create a bond between members of the group and to create a good and positive environment between members.

Most of the users of DSLR reigns from a Sony community called alphanatics (http://www.alphanatics.com)

The selection of logo was made during the first official meeting by the members of CAL.

C.A.L Activities

The first C.A.L meeting was held on 2nd October 2009 at Restoran Kg. Pandan, Jalan Yap Kwan Seng, Kuala Lumpur. During the meeting, the highlighted points which were discussed:

1. Name for the group

2. Committee members

3. T-shirt design

4. Membership registration / T&C

5. Outings and activities

6. Other related issues

1. The Name for the group
Finally the name Central Alpha Legion was selected to be used as the name for the group. There are several other names which were suggested, but after the voting session, everybody was happy with C.A.L. Thanks to those who provide some good names for the group.

2. Committee members
Selection for the Pengerusi, Naib Pengerusi, Secretary and AJK were done in voting system. The selection was from suggestion of names by the attendees and the reason. After the selection was done, here is the list of committee members for C.A.L:

3. T-shirt design
Next on the agenda is the designing of the C.A.L T-shirt for members. Thanks to pikiez for creating the design that everybody has agreed to use. Thanks to those who provides the design for the shirt.

4. Membership registration / T&C
The purpose for this registration is that we want to make this group an active group. We would love to have only those who were really interested to be in the group. As there will not be a registration fee for the group, a minimal lifetime fee will be opposed to members for the t-shirt that will be provided. Those who would like to join the group are required to register. The T&C will be updated soon.

5. Outing and activities
One of the main points for the formation of C.A.L is for member to organize activities and outings. The purpose for this is to form a closer relationship between members and to be able to exchange ideas and shooting techniques. A lot of activities have been highlighted members of the group and we will take into consideration each of the activities highlighted.

6. Other related issues
Other related issues that were brought up are:

a) The web hosting and website design for C.A.L, which will be handled by craziqbal.

b) The monthly meeting for C.A.L will be held on First Friday every month.
